Sen. Campbell Just On John & Ken

Hey everyone, I'm back from weekend down south of the border at Bahia de Los Angeles, Baja California Norte, not to be confused with Los Angeles,CA illegal alien capital of the world. John Campbell is still talking with the boys as I'm posting, but I have a few initial thoughts. Right out of the box Sen. Campbell starting talking about how he will be tough on illegal immigration. Obviously he has done his homework on what John & Ken listeners care most about. He said that during his stint in the family auto business, he always verified work documents of his workers and when something didn't seem right, he would report it to the authorities. The proper authorities basically didn't give a damn about his complaints and didn't do anything about it. He gets points for that answer. He needs to be out in front on this issue when he gets to DC. The county, state, and country needs another advocate for this most important issue. He also got asked why people should keep Republicans in power when the budget deficit is as high as it's been. He really didn't have a good answer for this question which troubles me. Why should we keep the GOP in power if they don't do what they say they are going to do. On to redistricting now it looks like. He gave a good answer why Arnold's redistricting reform is important. Overall I thought the prospective interview went pretty well. Now that Sen Ackerman and John Lewis have dropped out of the race, it looks like Sen. Campbell has a pretty clear shot at winning the seat. Marilyn Brewer should just drop out now. She would just be wasting her money at this point it would seem. We don't need any RINO's representing this important district in Congress. I still wonder if Jim Gilchrist is thinking about running?

You really should stop throwing around terms like RINO about Marilyn Brewer. You seem like a smart enough guy. If you want to call her a pro-choice Republican, that is accurate. Say you like John Campbell better...ok. Personally, I like JOhn a lot, and I am friends and worked clsoely with Marilyn. But if Jim Rogan were to run, I'd work for him. That doesn't mean I think Marilyn or John is bad, not at all.

So have a legitimate reason for being anti-Marilyn if you can...but RINO??? Her voting record, party loyalty, and leadership in electing other Republicans just doesn't warrant calling her a RINO.

    Jeff,

As I said earlier, perception is reality. The reality about Ms Brewer to alot of people I speak with is that she has a perception problem of being known as a moderate. Which is perfectly fine. She has every right to have those views. You only get one chance to make a first impression as they say. She has made her impression with alot of voters. That's the reality.

The fact is that you called her a RINO, and she's not.
