Happy Cinco De Mayo

I'm going to amaze some people here with my memory, but I still remember to this day my third grade teacher telling our class about the history behind Cinco De Mayo. As I recall she said that the Mexicans were outnumbered by French and opposition forces by roughly a 2 to 1 margin in the Battle of Puebla. The mexicans defeated the soldiers and hence declared their independence from Spain. My modern history with this "holiday" is from my college days where today was a good excuse to miss class and go get sloppy drunk with my frat bros. Viva Cinco De Mayo.
