California Border Police Initiative

There have been alot of positive stories lately dealing with curbing illegal immigration. The latest to come down the pike is an ballot initiative here in California sponsored by state assemblyman Ray Haynes(R) of Temecula that would set up a state border patrol police force to conduct interior sweeps(wahoooo!), busting businesses that hire illegals, and any other support activities that would be helpful to stem the flow of illegals. Basically it is a comprehensive proactive solution to a huge problen that California has faced for the last generation. The federal government has not done the job. All this does is plug holes in the porous border problem. I really can't see any downside to this. Sure the La Razas and the Mecha types will scream their usual racism and bigotry rants, but that is to be expected. I'm shocked that this wasn't thought about alot earlier.
