It doesn't have to be that way, but maybe they need to lose to understand the significance of this issue. I was listening to Robert Rector from the Heritage Foundation yesterday on John & Ken. Even I was shocked at the magnitude of the coming immigration wave in the next 20 years. The estimate is up to 100 million new low skill immigrants coming here if the current law is not changed. That is just plain unacceptable.

Hi Allan,
Did you read Drudge this morning about what Harry Reid the Senator from Nevada said? He called the amendment making English the official language "racist." In my blog, I wrote that this guy should join Alex Baldwin and get a one way ticket out of the country. Harry Reid is still living in yesterday and not today. Shows you the mindless thinking of the democratic party. Zell Miller was right when he said that the Democratic party is no longer the national party.

Que?
100 million?! That's about the entire population of Mexico. It took several years to get the illegal immigrant population to what it was - now the entire country will immigrate here? I wonder if the good folk who did this throughly researched report ever did a reality check.
I certainly hope the people who did this study put more thought into this study put more effort into their work then some people do in defending the English language. But it seems... doubtful.
I fear for the Republic - 100 gillion immigrants are invading the Motherland.
