Senate Agrees To Amnesty For Criminal Illegal Aliens
Here is the story from Reuters. The fix is in on the Senate immigration bill. Now that they have caved in, it will be interesting to see if the House is able to stand their ground. All this Senate bill is, is amnesty plain & simple. It rewards lawbreaking. They might as well give amnesty to every single felon in the US because "they have compassion" and we the people who want the laws enforced are just wacked out. Just go ahead and empty the prisons. There is no point in having laws if you won't enforce them. The other sides logic on this issue is just breathtaking. The one good thing about this from my point of view is that we will soon know all the Republican Senators who support the rule of law and those who don't. I already know how the Democratic Senators are going to vote on this so there's no suspense there.
Michelle Malkin has an excellent roundup here of this debacle.
Hugh Hewitt thinks the compromise bill is going to be a great thing for Bill Frist. Take another sip of that open border kool-aid Hugh. Start painting the map blue Hugh if this horrible bill sees the light of day. We know the details and they ain't pretty. Quit pretending this is a good thing.
I posted this over at California Conservative as well.

Reuters is now reporting that the so called compromise has fallen apart for the time being. It seems Democrats didn't want to let any amendments be offered by Republicans. This is fine with me. No law is way better than what the Senate is proposing. I have a feeling if no bill gets out of the Senate tomorrow, it's not going to improve the prospects for amnesty two weeks later when the Senators are going to get an earful from their constituents on the two week Easter recess.

Yes, it is amazing how quickly many Republican senators have buckled to the ILLEGAL ALIENS and fear of being called racists. Even conservatives like Barnes, Crystal and Krauthammer are caving. I think what we need to do now is what the other side has already done and what normally works best. ATTACK! We need to create a lot of noise in opposition to the Senate amnesty bill so that the US House stands firm. I believe we should do the following:
Run nationwide commercials against the Senate bill
- exposing the injustice and bad public policy of rewarding ILLEGAL ALIEN’S breaking the law
- revealing the problems with the Senate bill that make it unworkable, expensive and worse than nothing
- show video of Mexican flagwaving and abusive comments by ILLEGAL ALIENS
- repeatedly call the bill AMNESTY
- draw clear distinction between Legal and Illegal immigration
- point out that it would be a joke to do background checks in Mexico with their primitive business, governmental and corrupt legal system
- question why so few employers have been sanctioned for hiring illegals
- make clear how much more restrictive other countries (including Mexico’s) illegal immigration policies are compared to ours to mute the racial effort
- show that a fence has been very successful in Israel, Korea and Berlin
- question why so few illegals inside the US are located & deported
- publicize the high costs of illegal immigration of undereducated people including the high % of Hispanics in our prisons. Many people only think about the cheap labor and don’t think about all the social costs of illegals. Do we really need the existing 12 million illegals or just higher wages to get Americans to do the jobs
- point out that the 1986 Amnesty law did not work & encouraged more illegal immigration
- question why we need to try to satisfy ILLEGAL ALIENS and the Mexican government
- insist on having the details nailed down, how would family members who don’t work be handled etc.?
- how would those here less than 2 years and those with criminal records be located and deported?
- instead of outsourcing jobs to foreign countries, we are insourcing jobs to foreigners in our own country illegally
- emphasize that this is not a TEMPORARY GUEST WORKER PROGRAM but a PRE-CITIZENSHIP PROGRAM
Stage massive demonstrations by anti-illegal groups carrying American flags to balance the pressure on the media and Congress against the Senate bill and insist on border enforcement, employer verification and deportation. FAIR, the Minutemen and American DJ’s like John & Ken are in a position to do this.
Enlist natural allies who would suffer lose of jobs under the bill such as unions, blacks and legal immigrants to pressure Congress to oppose legalization
