Don't Have An Emergency In L.A County...
because there's a good chance that the ER you thought was there might be shut down. The latest to close their doors is in Northridge and also King/Drew ER in Watts. These are the fourth and fifth ERs to close this year. At this rate LA county is not going to have any ERs left next year. There are alot of reasons these hospitals are closing, but chief among them is treating "poor" and "uninsured patients"(a big chunk of those being illegal aliens). Until we truly get a handle on illegal immigration, I'm afraid we are going to see alot more of these stories in the future. Instead of going to the root of the problem, illegal immigration in my opinion, the lefty Los Angeles politicians will probably just call for more funding and outright socialized medicine a la Canadian style medicine. They will never talk about the illegal problem they have encouraged over the years. It's all starting to come to a boiling point though and tough choices like closing down hospitals is becoming all to familiar.

What do you propose as a solution to the illegal immigration "problem" as you put it? Great to point out the "problem" but what do you think should be done? I also suggest you go see the movie A Day Without Mexicans.

"This spicy commentary is based on a theory that immigrant advocates have advanced for years — that illegal immigrants from Mexico could bring the world's most powerful nation to its knees without lifting a finger.
Or rather by not lifting a finger. That's the whole point — that Mexican immigrants could bring America to a standstill by not picking up a hoe, washing a dish, swinging a hammer or doing any of the multitude of tasks for which foreigners are now responsible on an average day. "
Mexicans aren't the only "problems" that you are referring to, there are others, but an interesting POV here. People expect them to do all the work that us whiteys are much too lazy to do (ever seen Mexicans begging for money? No. Begging for work, yes. There is a difference.), yet we don't want to take care of them or pay to educate them or their children. Feels pretty unbalanced to me.
Just my $.02.

My solution is an outrageous one. You ready, here it goes. How about we enforce the laws already on the books! Lets go out and round up illegal immigrants on the streets and start prosecuting employers that hire the illegals. That would be a great start to the problem. The next one is to build the great wall of America along the US Mexico border. We don't stop legal immigration, but we make damn sure that the people who get here earn their citizenship through playing by the rules and not jumping to the front of the lines like the situation is now.
