John Kerry "Swiftboats" Himself

John Kerry just changed the word swiftboat from a noun to a verb...i.e. as in he "swiftboated" himself with his slander of our troops yesterday serving in Iraq. The Yachtsmen in chief was speaking to students yesterday up at Pasadena City College and uttered this incredible statement...

"You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."

Nice job Senator. That's why you lost two years ago. Your contempt for our fighting men and women is breathtaking and on full display for voters to ponder as they think about who they might vote for next week.

Thanks Phil. Good luck next Tuesday. I look forward to addressing you as "Board Member Paule" after next week. If I wasn't so busy helping our team in Irvine beat Larry Agran's cronies, I'd be out helping you get elected.

Yes, as usual the Democrats think they are running against Rush..... Pelosi has shut her mouth up for the next week (guess they can't control Kerry).....Better not be dancing in the end zone yet Demos, you have a long haul ahead of you!

Actually, the latest poll numbers show a 50-50 split in the Senate and a 239-195-1 advantage for the Democrats in the House. Wonder why that shredding service truck was parked in front of Cheney's house this week?

If I had to guess today, I would say the GOP is going to lose 20 House seats and four Senate seats. I really don't put much credence in any poll at this point. They don't know what the turnout model is going to look like. It will be interesting to see if the Dems win the House by a few seats how they will deal with new members in the caucus who have already pledged not to vote for Nancy Pelosi as Speaker.

you'd be off by at least 10. Todat, GOP holds 222 seats in the house and Dems 211 (2 independents).

This site is updated daily; you hae to scroll down for the projections on the House vote.

As of today, the GOP will lose about 27 seats in the House and 5 in the Senate (but you still have Lieberman and Cheney to go your way). 239 Democratic majority to 195 with one tie.

But with the House locked up, the utter failure of this administration is done and its lame duck time.

you would be off by a lot. Dems may take as many as 30 seats. The country is tired of being lied to and scared into voting Republican.

Repubs are desperate for anything. Their strategy of blasting someone who is not up for re-election will 100% effective. Kerry will not win or lose next week.

If the repubs hadn't screwed things up in the time they've controlled the legislature and executive branch this election would be a walkover for them given the strength of incumbency.

And I doubt any GOP would say that with a straight face.
