Let's Try An Experiment....Who Wants To Play

I received this email today from my Uncle, Mark Nelson up in nocal today. He gets this issue as well as millions of other American citizens. Try this down in Mexico and see what happens.

- Enter Mexico illegally. Ignore immigration quotas, visas, international law, and all that nonsense.

- - Once there, demand that the local government provide free medical care for you and your entire family.

- - Demand that the federal government provide retirement benefits for your elderly parents.

- - Procreate abundantly.

- - Demand that the Mexican school system provide schooling for all your children.

- - Speak only English at home and in public and insist that your children do the same.

- - Demand classes on American culture in the Mexican school system.

- - Demand bilingual nurses and doctors.

- - Demand free bilingual local government forms, bulletins, etc.

- - Deflect any criticism of this irresponsible behavior with, "It is a cultural United States thing. You would not understand."

- - Keep your American identity strong. Fly Old Glory from your rooftop; proudly display it in your front window and on your car bumper.

- - Demand a local Mexican driver's license.

- - Use your Mexican driver's license to apply for other legal rights and to legitimize your illegal presence in Mexico.

- - Demand that the Mexican driver's license be acceptable documentation for voter's registration.

- - Insist that local Mexican law enforcement teach English to all its officers.

- - Insist that you should not have to pay taxes, because you are not a Mexican citizen and are only there "temporarily."

Good luck! You'll be demanding for the rest of time or soon be dead. It will never happen. It will not happen in Mexico or any other country in the world. The only place such things happen is right here... in the land of the liberal and the home of the naive

I heard you on Hugh Hewitt's show.

I agree that we don't do enough to prevent illegal entrants into the U.S., but I would make another point. I think that we have incentivized illegal immigration with a lot of welfare state programs. Illegal workers here generally pay payroll taxes, but few of them get the benefits. But how popular would it be for Americans to give them up?

The real problem is that illegal workers will work below the minimum wage and they don't dare complain because they're not here legally. Yet there is plenty of work available that doesn't justify wages set by law. Like any other price control law or excessive tax, minimum wages create a black market which in this case attracts workers from south of the border.

I don't think that we will ever be able to stop illegal immigration without building a Great Wall like China did, and that one didn't really work. (Maybe we should make every illegal alien caught here work on building the wall.)

The problem, to my mind, is figuring out why Mexico doesn't have a better economy to provide job opportunities like the ones they come here to get.

Great narrow-minded thinking. Go see the movie "A Day Without Mexicans". It's a great mockumentary.

Why should I go see a movie that glorifies breaking the law? I bet you can't answer that one. I also like how didn't respond to any of the points made in my post. Just call people like me racists and bigots. That's what happens when can't argue facts.
