Tom Tancredo For President???

I think it's a great idea! Unless Rep. Ron Paul of Texas decides to run, I will support Tom Tancredo 100%. So yesterday, Tom put out a press release saying he's going to explore a run for the #1 office in the land. He's got his work cut out if he actually decides to make a go of it. His greatest asset obviously is his stance against illegal immigration. He will have to let the voters know though what else his principles are. If nothing else, this will force the eventual GOP nominee to make sure the issue of illegal immigration gets addressed in the 2008 campaign.

You can't be serious? Tancredo is a joke.

Oh I'm deadly serious. I don't find any other potential GOPers right now running for President palatable except for Tancredo and maybe Romney. Guliani, McCain, & Newt all either have too much baggage(Newt), too squishy(Guliani), or just wrong on most everything(McCain).

Either Tancredo or Duncan Hunter are fine with me. They both are running to force the issue of illegal aliens to be addressed in the 2008 campaign not because they are serious candidates. Hunter might be more creditable because Tancredo has been so unfairly tarred as a bigot by Dan's liberal friends. Apparently, there are no liberals who believe that the immigration laws should actually be obeyed!

I sure hope Tancredo gets the GOP nod. The dems could run Hugo Chavez against that guy and still win.

    Full Speed Ahead!!

What about the idea of a new President Clinton in 08?

She's a shoo-in if Tancredo gets the nod.

It's kind of a moot argument because unless the troops are home from Iraq by the end of this year, the Republican who gets the nomination will be playing for second place.
