I'm Done With Arnold

I really did give him a chance to earn my support this year, but the last few weeks have just been too much to stomach anymore. I understand most Republicans will still vote for him and that is there right, but I don't have to enable him anymore. I feel like a battered wife who has finally made the decision to leave an abusive relationship and seek counsel and comfort with others of like mind. His sellout of Republican values has been breathtaking the last few weeks. He signed one of the biggest job killer bills in the history of California in the Greenhouse Gas Bill. Maybe he's secretly trying to kill all jobs in the state with this bill and therefore dry up the day labor jobs and making the illegals go to other states to look for work(I highly doubt it). He also pushed through a another job killer with the minimum wage increase. He repudiated his past support for Prop 187 and wants it both ways on the illegal immigration debacle. Instead of reigning in spending like he promised, he has put a slate of bonds on the Prop ballot that will indebt/leverage this state into debt for years into the future. Just vote NO on every bond measure. He signed a bill that will ban private schools from accepting state grant money because of the schools deeply held moral beliefs i.e believing that homosexuality is immoral. These are just a few of the things I ticked off of the top of my head. There are many others as well.

Where does that leave me? Well I am going to work my ass off to recruit volunteers and GOTV for all the downticket and local races. Tomorrow the GOP Lt. Gov nominee Tom McClintock is going to be over at our Irvine GOP headquarters and I intend to go there and work for real Republicans to get elected. I'm heartened to also see that other OC bloggers are questioning their loyalties to the Governor. None other than Mr. Jubal himself Matt Cunningham is on the fence about supporting the Gov. It takes a lot of gonads to call out the nominee of our party for Governor, but that is what leadership is all about. I'm sure Matt is going to catch a lot of flak for this and could risk getting cut off from future consulting business by taking this stand. Kudos to you Matt.

    Hi Allan,
I will jump in on your side when it comes down to Gov. Arnold. This guy has definitely gone the wrong way. SB 1441 is on his desk for signautre and I have called his office many times to veto the bill. It is an anti-family bill putting into elementary text books the positive impacts homosexuals, bisexuals and transsexuals have made. Our k-12 kids do not need to be learning about this at their age. Maybe we should start planning a recall election if he should be elected. Family values. You really don't need to be a family person to believe in family values. I am all willing to do what has to be done to GOTV for family values.

    Allan,
I made a mistake. SB 1441 is a bill that Arnold has already signed into law. It basically smashes religious freedom. The terminator has terminated religious freedom. SB 1441 which was signed into law forces Christian colleges to promote sexual immortality if this colleges accept any Cal Grants. Any school that accepts Cal Grants must now promote same sex immortality. I still think we should start working on recall election.

    Hey Chaz.

Hate to burst your little bubble. Richard Mountjoy isn't running against Boxer. But what the heck. If he wants to put chinks in her armor, I say let him have at it.

After DiFi is through giving him a good thrashing I'm sure with a name like that he'll find work in the adult entermainment industry.
