A Saturday Night Safari At The Santa Ana Zoo
Last night Lynn and I had the opportunity to attend the Santa Ana Zoo's annual Zoofari. We are both huge animal lovers. Usually we head down to the San Diego Zoo or Wild Animal Park because we are members there. Neither of us had ever been to the Santa Zoo which is right in our backyard. This was a good opportunity to hang out with some good friends who invited us(thanks to Ron and Charlene Wildermuth) and to see the all the animals they have on display at the Zoo. It was a fun night.
One of the highlights of the night was seeing an old friend of mine Chris Hoy and his display of his wildlife drawings at the Zoo. Chris is an great artist who gets to make a living out of his passion for drawing wildlife. Very few people get to do that. One of his specialties is drawing the family pet. Check out some of his work here.
Lastly, what would a night like this be without some sucking up by local and hopeful politicians. 34th Senate District combatants Lynn Daucher and Lou Correa were there as well as some members of the Santa Ana City Council.
